Chef Bill Baker is a graduate of the classic culinary arts program at The French Culinary Institute.

Chef Bill Baker is the proprietor of Chef's Galley. He has cooked, catered, and taught culinary skills in restaurants, country clubs, taverns and sailboats in Los Angeles, Dallas, Boston, Ohio, Florida, and the Bahamas for over 25 years. He has a bachelors degree in Political Science from Ohio University and a master of education degree from the University of Toledo. He previously taught history and coached ice hockey, as well as cooked and catered, before deciding to pursue his passion for cooking full time in a non-restaurant situation that no longer involves 16 hour workdays.

Chef Bill has attended and given numerous cooking classes over the years. With his education background, he especially enjoys sharing his love of cooking with others. His most rewarding food experience was in Los Angeles, where he was the only American in an European Bistro.

Chef Bill lives back in his hometown of Toledo, Ohio with his wife Lee Ann, and two Labradors, Harley and Rosemary. He is Serve Safe food handler certified by the National Restaurant Association and a member of the American Personal Chef Association.
